Can't wait..
Can't wait until Sunday - my first photography course! its through Masterclass and I really hope it makes things click * excuse the pun* for me when setting my camera, organising things and capturing moments. I hd lots of editing to do with this last bunch of shots, vera in fact had a spotty dotty virus!
My prop collection is growing, I just got a couple of bargains off prop buy and sell on facebook- a crochet crown, and 2 baby cocoons. I also had a chat to a stunning pregnant teacher at work and she is very keen to have some newborn photos taken, which I am beyond excited about! eeekk! Can't wait!
I can't wait to get to a stage with my camera to be able not to even look at the lcd and just change the exposure as needed through touch, I also can't wait for the camera to feel like a natural extention to me. I can't wait to shed the awkward feelings; when not in my own environment I feel distracted when concentrating trying to get a picture that I seem anti-social or borderline rude. I need to work on interacting with my subject. Practice, practice practice and getting out of my comfort zone is key to this. Any practice, advice and suggestions are so welcomed guys....... :)

TGIF
Happy Friday all,
This weeks rating was a 4/10 for us in the Anderson household. Avera has been ill with gastro bug, conjunctivitis & a silly cold. But all is looking peachy as its friday! We can rest up ( and attend our little friends first birthday party and cuddle Nana whos coming to stay - ekk!!) over the weekend. At work this week I have taken my camera in for practice shots& working observations. Genius that I am- I attached a ring toy around the lens of a pig which the toddlers throught was halirious! makes for great photos as they warm to the camera instantly.
Have a fabulous weekend all. Next week us Andersons are striving for a 9/10 week, or 4 and a half stars perhaps :)

Revamps
I have yet again revamped the blog, I wanted to take the colours of the background away so focus could be on the photography. I have also redesigned the Marinky logo which I'm very pleased about. Its simple and clean & reflects me more. Any feedback welcome xx

Vintage feel/ attempt.
I love the natural light that spills into our bedroom, I dug into my ever growing prop box and set up a few things. a vintage feel suitcase, pearls and hand made hair acessories. Drapping a fur and wedging it into my top draws I thought to myself " it would be great to have a bloody backdrop support system right about now!", then as my daugher crawled straight off the make-shift backdrop I just shrugged and let her do her thing.
Two days ago i purchased a deal that I'm super excited about! Its a masterclass photography 4 hour session workshop for the end of the month and at $85 (down from $950) I snapped it up pronto!
I have also been practicing taking photos of the beautiful babies at daycare for a wall project but it is hugely beneficial when you know them, their sence of humour and their favourite songs to get their attention or to make them feel comfortable with a huge black camera pointing in their direction.
Here are a few of the vintage attempts with Avera Drew.

Western Springs
Hello All,
Hope you have all had a wonderful long weekend. I was lucky enough to spend mine with family and some very special people from my antenatal group. My little coffee group met at Western Springs on saturday to feed the ducks. It was a beauty of a day and we made the most of it with a picnic and a stroll. We had a few friends who were unable to make it this time round and they were missed. Here are a few snaps of the gorgeous babies and their lovely parents.
