Auckland Zoo

Today Avera experienced her first ever trip to the zoo. The zoo definitly is on my top ten fav list of "where I'd like to be". She had an absolute blast, she especially liked Burma the elephant who stomped by us on his daily stroll with the zoo keeper. Here a few of my favourite shots from today.

On a side not, I was super excited the other day to win the LoveKraft facebook photo competition. It was run through a prop buy and sell photography page and I won $15 of prop vouchers from the lovely  LoveKraft.

Forced Perspective

In a moment inspired by Pin-interest ( yes for some reason I can't get my mind around that its called pinterest) and a technique of forced perspective I created this image. With the help of my sister holding the flower and my niece holding a ballet-esque pose we made this together -team effort!

perspective

Out of clutter,
find simplicity.
From discord,
find harmony.
In the middle of difficulty
lies opportunity.
Albert Einstein

I have been trying to declutter my belongs ( somewhat unsuccessful), my mind and my art. To gain a little perspective sometimes horrible things happen and it really makes us step back and start to appreciate things we may be taking for granted. One of my best friends suggested a super therapudic way of achknowledging our blessings by writting down 5 important points routinely.

ALOHA!!!

The sunshine has been magical, as has this week. Cutting back to work three days a week has been good for my mind, body and soul. I feel productive, more energetic,  I even feel like I am being a better mama, photographer and a wife. I whipped out my first assignment and it promptly got marked by my lovely tutor and got 8/10 - 80% if you please- here's hoping this will be my lowest score *fingers crossed.* but loads of constructive feedback so feeling good.
Heading to the Diwali festival tomorrow arvo to take some shots- should be super cultural and vibrant- can't wait!
Little shout out to the aunty mole who moved to Aussie recently, we love and miss ya.
